Gua Africa is dedicated to promoting education in Africa

Gua Africa promotes education in Africa through academic sponsorships to refugees who have survived war and genocide, construction of classrooms and the provision of resources such as books, pencils and teacher's salaries that ensure schools remain open during times of emergency. We have projects in both Kenya and South Sudan. Since the outbreak of violence in December 2013 our work in South Sudan has changed. We have delayed our construction of classrooms as the instability has made that logistically impossible. Our work now focuses on short term emergency provision of resources which will see the existing schools remain open. This means sending books and pencils along with financial incentives for teachers who have not been paid since 2013.

You can show your support by becoming a sponsor to our refugees or donating either a one off or regular monthly donation to our work in South Sudan.
