In recent months two Gua Africa students have completed their university studies and are moving onto the next stage of their careers.
Gabriel (pictured left) has completed his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine at the Mount Kenya University in Nairobi. He just has to sit the Council for Clinical Officers' exam which upon passing he will become a fully qualified Clinical Officer. After sitting these exams he will join a hospital as a medical intern. He can then begin what we hope will be a long and successful career saving lives and helping develop medical facilities in South Sudan.
Peter (pictured right) has completed his Bachelor degree in Law at the Catholic University in Nairobi. After four years studying he is now required to spend a year at the Kenya School of Law where at the end of the year he must sit exams to join the Kenya Legal Council. After passing that exam will he be a fully certified lawyer ready to practice.
Both Gabriel and Peter have come a long way since they were young boys struggling to survive at the Kakuma refugee camp. Their careers simply would not have been possible if it wasn't for the fantastic support of their sponsors. If you would like to become a sponsor of a Gua Africa student please ckick here.
