In recent months our Survivors of War programme has seen several students graduate their courses. We would like to congratulate them and celebrate their achievements. Despite the current difficulties within South Sudan its' young people remain committed to gaining high quality educations that they can then use to help develop their country.
Kueth (pictured above on the day of his graduation) successfully graduated with a degree in Business Management in October last year. Since graduating Kueth has been proactive in seeking employment and has recently returned home to take up a position as an accountant of a renowned South Sudanese NGO. We wish him every success in his future career!
Matthew successfully completed his diploma in Clinical Medicine. Gua has arranged for him to complete an internship with Medecins Sans Frontier at one of their clinics in South Sudan. This is the third time a Gua medical student has worked with MSF and we are extremely proud to work alongside them by training local people in this way. Upon completion of his internship Matthew will be able to enrol on to a degree course, thus completing his training as a doctor.
Nelson has recently graduated from his diploma course in Criminology. As a budding lawyer he was particularly thrilled to spend his mandatory work attachment at the Kenyan Supreme Court. Nelson has now enrolled onto a full law degree course thanks to the wonderful support of his group of sponsors.
All of these individuals successes could not happen without the support of both their sponsors but also each and every one of you who has made a donation over the years, no matter how big or small. These student's successes are your successes too.
